I’m sorry

Because we can’t speak english

I am using DeepL translate, so it may be a strange sentence,

but I would like you to understand

Thank you

Today I would like to introduce you to a vintage camera.

It is a Ricoh XR500.

The history of Ricoh cameras seems to have started in the 1930s.

Spring cameras and Ricoh Flex series twin-lens reflex cameras.

Ricoh Auto Half compact cameras.

SLR cameras were introduced around 1972 with the Ricoh Singlex series.

The XR500 was introduced in 1979.

This camera has slightly reduced functions from the XR-1 released in 1977.

Although it has only a manual shutter, it seems to have been very practical.

And it was released at the price of $110 at that time

and seemed to be very popular.

The mount is K-mount, and it seems to be able to

use Rikenon lenses and Pentax K-mount.

I have not seen Ricoh’s Rikenon lenses yet,

but I often handle Pentax lenses, so I feel familiar with them.

The XR-1, which is the base of this camera, is also a good design product.

I think the black body and the design of each part is very good.

I got this body from a junk shop.

The shutter speed is almost accurate.

Other than that, I have not checked.

I would like to revive it after careful maintenance and cleaning.
