In this issue, we would like to introduce the pasted leather of OLYMPUS’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1973.
OLYMPUS OM-1 (Reference product)
The OM-1 has a long horizontal pattern in its leather covering.
The leather bracket on the front side is made of steel with the same dimensions on both the top and bottom.
The hinge area of the film chamber is firmly seated on a smaller curved surface from the front surface.
The opening of the film chamber on the opposite side is also firmly attached with pasted leather.
The film chamber lid on the rear face has different dimensions at the bracket of the left side opening/closing section. The design of the upper and lower brackets is also different.
In this issue, we introduced the pasted leather of OLYMPUS manual focus film SLR cameras released in 1973.
In the OM-1, the pattern of the pasted leather has a horizontal design different from other manufacturers of this era, and the bracket design of the rear film chamber is also different from other manufacturers.
It was a film camera with a unique design.
I will continue to write columns about functional parts, new discoveries, and designs of film cameras that interest me, so please look forward to them!
Thank you for reading my column today.
