In this article, we will introduce the Nikon Nikomat brand manual focus film SLR camera pasted leather released in 1972.
Nikomat EL (Reference product)
The Nikomat EL’s pasted leather has the same pattern design as that of the Nikon FE.
The front side of the Nikomat EL is fitted with brackets of the same width as the upper and lower brackets.
The leather on the front of the shutter side and the hinge of the film chamber is attached without peeling because of the firmness of the bracket.
The front and film chamber openings on the opposite side are also firmly attached with pasted leather.
The film chamber lid is securely attached with the same pasted leather as the front restrained to the bracket.
In this issue, we introduced the Nikon Nikomat brand manual focus film SLR cameras released in 1972.
Since this Nikomat EL is a Nikomat EL, the same Nikon FE camera we introduced last time, the paste leather and bracket are almost identical.
It is a very unique feature in the world of optical products that a camera from about half a century ago has kept its exterior in such a good condition.
I will continue to write columns on the various aspects of film SLR cameras that interest me, so please look forward to them!
