Thank you
In this issue, we would like to introduce the film counter of the OLYMPUS film half-size camera released in 1962.
OLYMPUS PEN-D (Reference product)
The film counter is located next to the shutter release button.
All the numerical values for the number of film sheets are displayed inside a transparent circular plate.
The counter is set for approximately 72 images for a half-size camera.
When a new film is loaded, the triangular indicator in the center knob of the counter is set to 0 to start shooting (left image).
As the number of shots progresses, the triangular indicator will turn counterclockwise to indicate the lower number of shots (right image).
The center knob of the circular plate is interlocked with the triangular index, so it can be set freely by turning the knob when film is mounted, etc., according to the number of film sheets used.
In this issue, we introduced a film counter for OLYMPUS half-size film cameras released in 1962.
Unlike ordinary SLR cameras and compact cameras, this film counter corresponds to the number of shots that can be taken only with half-size cameras.
The film counter is a circular plate type, making it very easy to read and understand.
I will continue to write columns on various aspects of film cameras that interest me, so please look forward to them!
Thank you for reading my column today.
