In this issue, we would like to introduce the pasted leather of Konica’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1979.
Konica FS-1 (Reference product)
The front of the body has a smaller area of pasted leather because the grip with built-in battery is attached on the shutter side.
The design of the leather material is like the surface of fine grains merged together.
The front part has no paste leather bracket, and the side part has the same paste leather with bracket as the front part.
The front of the body on the opposite side has a small area of pasted leather without brackets.
The film chamber lid opening is also covered with pasted leather.
The rear film chamber lid is fitted with a paste leather of the same design as the front, with brackets.
In this issue, we introduced the pasted leather of Konica’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1979.
In my previous column, I introduced the leather covering of the ACOM-1 released in 1976, and in this FS-1, I found that the leather covering has evolved in terms of design and durability.
Although the environment in which the camera is used has a lot to do with it, I think that too much of it will make the camera durable and last for a long time to come.
I will continue to write columns on various aspects of film cameras that are of interest to you, so please look forward to them!
Thank you for reading my column today.
