In this issue, we would like to introduce the film counter design of Minolta’s rangefinder camera released in 1966.
minolta HI-MATIC 9 (Reference product)
The film counter is located on the side of the film winder lever rotation.
The counter is located in a square window and is divided into a numerical display and an indicator section.
When the film is not mounted, it becomes a large red-colored “0” mark.
The number of sheets display starts with the number 1 from the first sheet.
There is no numerical indication from the first to the fourth sheet.
What a surprise, it is countered by an even display from the fourth one.
In this issue, we introduced a film counter for Minolta rangefinder cameras released in 1966 by Minolta.
The film counter displays the number of shots in odd or even numbers, vertically or horizontally, and in various other ways. There are also various shapes of windows.
Although it has nothing to do with the shooting itself, we were able to learn that there are various kinds of film counters that we can always see with our eyes.
Please look forward to my next column, where I will continue to write about the parts of a film camera that you always see and discover unexpectedly!
Thank you for reading my column today.
