at first

I’m sorry

Because we can’t speak english

I am using DeepL translate, so it may be a strange sentence,

but I would like you to understand

Thank you

In this issue, we would like to introduce the film counter of ASAHI Optical Industries’ manual focus film SLR camera released in 1962.

ASAHI PENTAX SV (Reference product)

The film counter is located on the film winding lever rotary section.

The number of sheets can be seen through the fan-shaped window.
The numbers are displayed in red and white on a black base. There is a red-colored triangular indicator at the top of the outside.

When the film is not installed, there are no numbers and 0 is the red color.

There is no numerical value from the first to the fourth sheet, and it becomes numerical from the fifth sheet.

The counter proceeds with 5 pieces each, 10, 15, and so on. 20th piece is red color.

From the 20th card, go again to 25, 30, 35, etc. The 36th memory becomes red-colored.

In this issue, we introduced a film counter for a manual focus film SLR camera released in 1962 by ASAHI Optical Industries .

The counter of this camera focuses on the number of standard shots.

And it was probably thought of as a film counter based on the premise of an SLR camera that shoots with 36-shot film.

Please look forward to my next column on the various film counters and discoveries of film cameras!
