Lenses for Asahi Pentax 35mm film cameras have replaced

the M42 mount with the K-mount lenses introduced here.


The M42 mount is a screw-in type, but the K mount is a

bayonet type, which is turned on the lens side for mounting.

The difference can be clearly seen in the comparison


The screw-in type takes longer to install, but it is easy

to install by turning and fitting.


This K mount was also used for some lenses by Ricoh and others.
