In this article, we have looked at the eye-level finder of Canon’s 1966-released PELLIX QL film SLR camera, comparing it to the eye-level viewfinder of the Canon FX released in 1964.

The PELLIX QL introduced here seems to have the camera name engraved on the original manufacturer’s logo due to its unique mechanism using a half-mirror, but the body design was found to be almost identical to that of the FX.

And the eye-level finder design was also basically continued in the same way as other models until the 1970s, which was an excellent design.

We will continue to introduce the unique designs and mechanisms of various film cameras.
