In this article, we will introduce the exposure compensation dial of Asahi Optics’s 1975 manual focus film SLR camera.




ASAHI PENTAX K2 (Reference product)


The exposure compensation dial is integrated between the lens mount and the camera body.


There are 5 correction values.
1x for white color on black base color, and the other values are for orange color.


The correction values are 1/4, 1/2, 1x, and 2,4.


Rotate the dial using the knob next to the correction value 4.

This is the first appearance of the exposure compensation dial in this column.
