In this article, we will introduce the film sensitivity dial of Asahi Optics’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1962.

ASAHI PENTAX SV (Reference product)

The film sensitivity dial is located on the inner panel below the film rewind crank.

This setting is for ASA display only. There are two different colors for the setting values.
12-400 is divided into green color and 25-1600 into silver color.

Use the knob between 25 and 400 to turn the panel to set the value.

The dial on the outside of the panel is a self-timer dial.

In this issue, we have introduced a film sensitivity dial for a manual focus SLR camera released in 1962 by Asahi Optics.

We have introduced film sensitivity dials regardless of the year order, but this SV has a type where the disk plate is turned.

This is the first time I have seen this type of dial, so I think it is quite a surprising film sensitivity dial.

We will continue to introduce all kinds of features and designs related to film cameras, as well as other areas of interest, so please look forward to reading more!

Thank you again for reading this column.
