The Color of Lens Text on Vintage Film Camera Lenses

I have made another discovery.

I will write the third part.

The following explanation will be given using lenses currently

on sale at our Vintage Shop Japan Inc.

The lettering on these two lenses is what concerns me.

In Pentax lenses
The number indicating the focal length is only shown on the front side of the lens. (50mm)

The ft portion of the upper row of distance indicators (approximate distances) is shown in light blue.
The m part of the lower column is shown in yellow.

In Minolta New MD lenses
The number representing the focal length (middle row) is shown in
orange (indication of 50)

The upper column of distance indicators (approximate distances) is colored yellow.
The m part of the lower column is shown in white.

And the common denominator for both lenses is the lower aperture value (white).

This time, I felt that the light blue letters on the Pentax lenses in particular were vivid and beautiful colors that other companies did not have.

We were also able to discover differences in the color of the numbers for each manufacturer.

And now we are back to the self-satisfied part of the column.

I think anything can spark an interest in the world of film cameras and lenses!

We invite you to enter the world of vintage!
