column

lens

at first

I’m sorry

Because we can’t speak english

I am using DeepL translate, so it may be a strange sentence,

but I would like you to understand

Thank you

Also in this issue.

I will write about the design of the focus ring on vintage lenses.

In addition to the previously introduced focusing ring

there are still other designs available.

I will comparison using two lenses sell by our company Vintage Shop Japan Inc.

Minolta AF ZOOM 24-105mm f/3.5-4.5 D

Click here for the product URL

The focusing ring of the Minolta lens introduced previously was

manual focus lens.

This time, it is an auto-focus lens.

The design has a diagonal gouge.

No other company has such a unique focusing ring.

It has a unique focusing ring that other companies do not have.

It is immediately recognizable as a Minolta lens.

Asahi smc PENTAX-M 28mm f/2.8

Click here for the product URL

The focus ring of this Asahi Pentax is
made of rubber.

It resembles a Nikon focusing ring, but

The longitudinal dimensions are lined up differently.

It looks like a chocolate plate (laughs)

(Nikon Lens)

Some designs are similar even though they are made by different manufacturers.

I don’t think the design of the focusing ring has anything to do with photography.

I am a lover of design, so I look at it with great interest.

I think lenses are not only for shooting, but also for looking at and enjoying.

If it is a vintage lens, I think it is even more enjoyable!

In addition to the products introduced here, we also sell vintage cameras and lenses.
