First, remove the front and rear lens caps from the lens.

Remove dust from the exterior of the lens body.

Wipe the body with a towel using anhydrous ethanol.

After removing the dust from the front lens

Use anhydrous ethanol and wipe it with a Silvon paper.

After removing dust from the rear lens

Use anhydrous ethanol and wipe it off using a Silvon paper.

After removing dust from the lens mount

Using anhydrous ethanol, wipe it using Sylvon paper and cotton swab.

Front lens cap.
Using anhydrous ethanol, wipe it using a Silvon paper.

Rear lens cap.
Using anhydrous ethanol, wipe it using Silvon paper.

Check the movement of the focus ring and shutter release. (I forgot to take a shutter release photo!)

Finally
Front lens cap and rear lens cap.
Cleaning and operation check are finished.

This Minolta lens has an MD mount.

Strictly speaking, I think it is a NEW MD mount.

There are other vintage lenses with SR mount and MC mount, but they are not the same as this lens.

But they are collectively called “Minolta mount”.

This lens is in good condition.

It can be used for film SLR cameras.

It can be used with a film SLR camera or with a digital camera with a mount adapter.
