Paste leather for Asahi Optics’s film SLR cameras Part 4 !

at first

I’m sorry

Because we can’t speak english

I am using DeepL translate, so it may be a strange sentence,

but I would like you to understand

Thank you

In this issue, we would like to introduce the pasted leather of Asahi Optics’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1961.

ASAHI PENTAX S3 (Reference product)

S3 will be a paste leather with a fine texture and pattern. Thanks to the bracket holding the pasted leather, it is firm without any sagging.

The paste leather near the hinge side of the film chamber is also firm thanks to the bracket.

The film chamber opening on the opposite side is also covered with the same pasted leather as the body.

On the back side, the upper and lower paste leather brackets are shaped differently from those on the front side of the body, but have thicker, more solid brackets.

This time we introduced the paste leather of a manual focus film SLR camera released in 1961 by Asahi Optics.

Since this camera was the base of the SV released in 1962 that we introduced before, the design of the pasted leather and the bracket are almost the same.

I will continue to write columns on various aspects of film cameras and discoveries of interest, so please look forward to them!

Thank you for reading my column today.
