In this issue, we would like to introduce the pasted leather of RICOH’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1978.

RICOH XR500 (Reference product)

The XR500 has a fine grained design in the leather paste.
The front side of the leather bracket is made of thick steel with the same thickness on the top and bottom.

The hinged portion of the film chamber is also accommodated by the same pasted leather and brackets as the front surface.

The opening and closing of the film chamber on the opposite side is likewise firmly attached with pasted leather.

The film chamber lid on the rear face has a narrower paste leather bracket than the front face.

In this issue, we introduced a pasted leather of Ricoh’s manual focus film SLR camera released in 1978.

The design of this XR500 is inherited from the good film SLR camera design of the 1970s. The leather is heavy and gives the camera a film camera presence.

I will continue to write columns about interesting designs and new discoveries of film cameras, so please look forward to them!

Thank you for reading my column today.
