In this issue, we would like to introduce the rear grip design of a Contax manual focus film SLR camera released in 1987.

CONTAX 167MT (Reference product)

The rear grip is located on the right side of the film chamber lid on the back side of the body, where the right thumb fits.

The surface treatment and shape are fitted to the area where the thumb rests.

The same surface material and smooth design as the non-slip front grip make it easy to grip.

In this article, we introduced the rear grip design of a manual focus film SLR camera released by Contax in 1987.

The rear grip design is a result of the front grip design introduced previously.

The design of even the rear grip, which does not get much attention, is a testament to the excellence of Porsche design.

I will continue to write columns about designs and new discoveries that caught my attention with film cameras, so please look forward to them!

Thank you for reading my column today.
