In this issue, we will take a look at the shutter speed dial on Asahi Optics’s 1975 manual focus film SLR camera.

ASAHI PENTAX K2 (Reference product)

This film SLR camera was released in 1975 with a steel black color body and black pasted leather.

The shutter speed dial is located near the shutter button and film winding lever.

The shutter speed can be selected between manual and aperture priority auto.

The manual shutter speed can be selected from B to 1/1000 sec. on the disk-shaped dial.
The orange 125 is the speed that can be synchronized with the flash.

Aperture priority automatic mode is set by turning the dial while pressing the pin with the letter B.

The flat knurled section has two steps.

In this article, we introduced the shutter speed dial of Asahi Optics’s 1975 release manual focus SLR camera.

This camera allows you to simply select the shutter speed.

The dial is very easy to understand with clearly colored numerals and letters.

We hope to introduce various shutter speed dial designs in the future, so please look forward to it!
