In this issue, we will take a look at the shutter speed dial on Asahi Optics’s 1961 manual focus film SLR camera.

ASAHI PENTAX S3 (Reference product)

This film SLR camera was released in 1961 with a steel silver-colored body and black pasted leather.

The shutter speed dial is located near the shutter button and film winding lever.

A disk-shaped dial has a manual selection from B to 1/1000 sec.
The orange color X is the speed at which the strobe can be synchronized.

Turn the flat knurled dial to set.

In this issue, we introduced the shutter speed dial of a manual focus SLR camera released in 1961 by Asahi Optics.

It is like the base of the camera we have been introducing recently.

The color of the numerical values and letters make the dial easy to read and understand.

It is wonderful that it can be set at 1/1000 second from those days!

We look forward to introducing more designs and features of interest in various areas in the future!

Thank you again for reading this column.
